Land clearing is the first step on most rural projects — and it's the step that decides whether the rest of the job goes smoothly or fights you the whole way.
What we clear
- Standing timber and brush
- Stumps (grinding or full removal)
- Old fence lines, scrap, and debris
- Boulders and obstructions
- Rough grading to a workable surface
Costs
Land clearing is priced by acreage, density, and what we have to do with the material (chip, burn, haul). Lightly treed lots are much cheaper than dense bush.
Environmental considerations
We respect setbacks from waterways, wildlife habitat, and conservation areas. Some clearing requires a permit — we'll tell you up front if yours does.
Frequently Asked Questions
- Do you burn or chip the cleared material?
- Either, depending on what you want and what's allowed. Chipping leaves usable mulch on site; burning is fastest where bylaws allow it.
- Can you clear in winter?
- Yes — frozen ground actually causes less damage to surrounding soil and vegetation. Winter clearing is often the cleanest.
